Terms of use

Effective as of To be completed

The rules for using the Tellustory app, the website and the sync service.

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the Tellustory app — on Android and on desktop —, of the website and of the sync service, published by To be completed. Using any of them means accepting these terms. Paid offers are also governed by the terms of sale.

2. Access and account

The mobile app works without an account. An account is needed for sync, the desktop app and the customer area. You agree to provide an accurate email address and to keep your password confidential; anything done from your account is deemed done by you. Signing in with Google is also subject to Google's terms.

3. Your writing

You remain the sole owner of everything you write in Tellustory. To be completed acquires no right over your texts. When you turn on sync, you only allow us to store them and pass them on to your own devices, for as long as the service requires; they are neither read, analysed nor used to train any model. You are responsible for the content you save.

4. Availability and backups

The app works offline and your books are saved on your devices. Sync is not a backup: a deletion made on one device is repeated on the others. The app's "Backup" feature produces a complete archive you keep wherever you want. We make our best efforts to keep the sync service available, without being able to guarantee it is never interrupted, notably for maintenance.

5. Crash reports

After an unexpected close, the app offers to send a technical report. Sending it is optional and can be set in the settings; its content is described in the privacy policy.

6. Prohibited use

You may not try to harm the security or the operation of the service, work around the limits of an offer, access another account's data, or use the service in an automated way beyond normal use.

7. Suspension and deletion of the account

You can delete your account at any time from "My account": what you had synced is then erased from our server, and your books stay on your devices. In case of a serious breach of these terms, To be completed may suspend an account, after informing you except in an emergency.

8. Intellectual property

The app, the website, the Tellustory brand and their components belong to To be completed. You have a personal, non-exclusive right of use, which allows neither copying, reselling nor decompiling beyond what the law permits.

9. Liability

To be completed cannot be held liable for the loss of data saved on a lost, damaged or reset device, nor for indirect damage. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants to consumers.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. Any significant change is announced to you before it takes effect; the date of the version in force is shown at the top of this page.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by French law. For any question or complaint, write to To be completed. A consumer may also turn, free of charge, to the consumer mediator named in the terms of sale.
